HVAC Energy Efficiency

As much as half of the energy used in your home goes to heating and cooling. So making smart decisions about your home's heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system can have a big effect on your utility bills - and your comfort. The following guide provided by Energy Star can help you make smart decisions about your home's HVAC system that can help save on energy costs and improve your overall comfort at home.

Service on Existing Systems

We repair all brands of furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps. We employ a large staff of technicians who can respond to your call quickly; most of the time with the part you need already on their truck.

D&D Services uses flat rate pricing. The advantage for you, as a customer, is that following a diagnosis, you will know exactly how much your repair will cost. There are no gimmicks to take advantage of you and there are no unpleasant suprises. Your quoted price is the same if it takes 2 hours or 4 hours for the repair.

We offer Preventative Maintenance Checks in the form of Spring Checks and Fall Checks. These checks typically more than pay for themselves through higher efficiency and lower utility bills. We try to assign a service technician to a specific customer to insure he (or she) becomes familiar with you and your equipment.

New System Installation

New High efficiency systems are much more sensitive to duct problems and over sizing. In some cases, even upgrading to ultra high efficiency equipment may not be the best solution. The cost of the upgraded equipment alone may outweigh the savings you'll get and, when you factor in the duct leakage and the humidity problems you may get with the high efficiency units, there may be a more economical solution. Most times, you can't solve your comfort problems by simply upgrading to a new high efficiency unit. Our technicians have been trained to look at the four components that should be considered in the decision to install a new HVAC system or replace your existing system: the equipment, the refrigeration piping and charging, the electrical power supply and the duct system.
